Immigration and Visas
If your nationality is not Tanzanian you are subject to immigration control. Being subject to immigration control means that you will need a visa or have an immigration permission that permits study in Tanzania. Student visa is granted to foreign national who enters the Country for the purpose of Academic conducts such as Research Students, Intern, Volunteering, Exchange students and Prospective Students who have obtained admission from MzU. The validity of this Visa is categorized in two
1. The first category is for applicants whose academic programs do not exceed 90 days, for which the visa fee is 50 USD. 2. And the second category is for those whose academic programs exceed 90 days, for which the Visa fee is 250 USD. Please note that if you are registered on a collaborative programme of study that is jointly awarded by the Mwanza University, you will need a Student visa even if your study on our campus is less than 6 months in duration. If you already have a valid visa or immigration permission for Tanzania which permits study on your intended programme of study at MzU, you are not required to apply for another visa.
